THE GREAT PERTHSHIRE SWINDLE
Today we
acknowledge the efforts of Perthshire Chamber of Commerce as
the main
marketing agents for the Perthshire Business website. Thank you! Oh!
Thank you!
for your hard work and endless enthusiasm with the promotion of this
website and the Business Perthshire website. The efforts of Perthshire
Chamber
have taken this website to the front pages of search engines around the
globe. Enough newsprint for a double page spread in a
broadsheet.
THEY CALLED US FOUL-MOUTHED YOBS
March
2005 -
Perthshire Business launched as an
alternative to the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce. The idea was
developed as a self-help business community. Offering free access to
local companies
to advertise tenders, vacancies news and promotions. The Perthshire
Chamber of Commerce refused to comment on the new venture. Perth and
Kinross
Council also refused to comment. We refused to comment!
CULTIVATE HATRED ITS YOUR GREATEST ASSET
October 2005
- The Toy Town News (Perthshire Advertiser) and Radio Tay launched a
media attack on the Business Perthshire website. Angry
chamber president Alistair Doward blasted the website claiming "It gave
a biased, misleading and derogatory image of Perthshire, its government
and
business community." Public opinion however was on the side of both
Perthshire Business and Business Perthshire. Both websites experienced
a
substantial rise in visitors that never subsided. Gordon Bannerman
journalist from the Perthshire Advertiser and Ally Ballingall have both
served the
Perthshire Chamber of Commerce as Vice President Communications.
Circumstantial evidence?
May 2006 - The
Business
Perthshire website is again under attack from the Toy Town News and
Radio Tay. The smell of Perthshire Chamber? The attack happen one week
after this
website Perthshire Business exposed a senior Chamber member as the
Perthshire Poison pen writer. The Chamber management were aware of the
letter
writer and refused to act. This time the services of a local MP were
utilised to bring down the Business Perthshire website. More
details on the
Dodgy Business
website. (party politics are banned on Perthshire Business)
